The Professional Competency Test (pCT) is now available on iP121
We are expanding iP121 as a platform for exploring professional potential. The Insightful Profiler™ questionnaire is now joined by the Professional Competency Test (pCT), a separate situational assessment with its own report.

The iP121 platform now offers another way to explore professional development. We are introducing the Professional Competency Test (pCT), which focuses on choices made in described situations from everyday working life.
This is another step in the platform’s development: alongside insights into needs, working styles and predispositions, practitioners can now use a separate competency assessment.
A separate assessment, an additional perspective
pCT is a standalone situational assessment on the iP121 platform. It has its own scenarios and scoring method. Results are based on a separate set of responses.
You can use pCT independently of the Insightful Profiler™ questionnaire or alongside its results. This also applies to people who have already completed an iP121 assessment: pCT adds another perspective to a development conversation.
Four professional competency areas
The test covers four areas that often arise in conversations about everyday working life:
- growth orientation,
- stress management,
- planning and organising,
- leadership.
Results are presented separately for each competency as a percentage score. The report also describes eight competency aspects, helping structure topics for further work with the participant.
What does the pCT report include?
Participants receive an individual report available online and as a PDF. It includes an overview of the four areas, descriptions of competency aspects, an interpretation of the results and development recommendations.
Each area includes a practical development-planning worksheet. This helps move a conversation from discussing results to choosing actions: what to work on, what to start doing and which changes to try in everyday practice.
Using pCT in your work with participants
pCT can support a development conversation, coaching, career guidance or preparation of questions for a recruitment interview. It helps organise areas to explore further with the participant and plan next steps.
When a person already has an Insightful Profiler™ report, practitioners can consider two perspectives: the description of their predispositions and needs, and their choices in pCT scenarios. These can then be related to the participant’s experience and the requirements of their role.
Explore a sample report
A sample report for the demonstration profile Janek Przykladowy is available to explore without logging in. It shows the report structure, presentation of the four areas and action-planning worksheets.
The demonstration PDF is currently in Polish. If you would like to discuss using pCT in your organisation or advisory practice, use the contact form. We can help you consider an approach suited to your work with participants.
