Insightful Profiler™ iP121 methodology and norms
Insightful Profiler™ iP121 is a psychometric tool developed in Poland to assess professional predispositions. It supports conversations about recruitment, development, motivation and collaboration. It is not intended for clinical diagnosis.
What does iP121 measure?
The questionnaire contains 121 statements. The profile includes 12 factor scales and 4 higher-order factors. The Synopsis team report presents the profile across 12 scales. The assessment takes about 20 minutes.
Polish norms: 26,885 people
According to the “iP121 Psychometric Properties” document, the update of 31 March 2026 covers 26,885 complete profiles. Norms are updated on a rolling basis. Interpretation uses groups defined by gender and age: 18–30 and 31+.
The normative sample size, total number of assessments and validation sample size are distinct measures. Updating norms does not mean that every reliability and validity measure has been re-estimated.
Reliability and interpretation
The documentation reports Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.82–0.92 and test–retest stability of 0.71–0.91. The source document provides details of the scales, samples and procedures. These coefficients relate to the studies described there, rather than automatically to the entire current normative sample.
A need, a predisposition and a developed competency are different things. Results provide a starting point for a conversation and must be interpreted in the context of the participant's experience and circumstances. They should not determine a hiring decision on their own.
